Backup Security of Benalla, VIC has seen significant growth in recent years, with Directors Steve Randi and Vicky Baldwin expanding operations to include drug and bomb detection sniffer dogs, and training courses via their sister company AKDU – Australian K-9 Defence Unit.
Recognising that people are their greatest asset, another recent acquisition – Albury NSW’s Border Security, managed by Todd Wapling – has further expanded operations. Todd is an expert in designing security monitoring systems for commercial applications. Now extending their reach, focusing their operations within the company’s Lavington/North Albury base has seen operations boom. This has included the ability to operate industry leasding training course certificates for security guards, crowd control and general security operations; also sniffer dog handing courses via the AKDU within their Benalla, Victoria regional dog centre.
Steve and Vicky explain that Backup Security’s recruitment, training and management practices are all directed at ensuring security services are provided with 100% professionalism.
‘Our expertly trained security officers and dog handlers deliver a diverse and challenging range of work to help problem solve within many challenging environments. They adhere to the Security Providers (Security Firm Code of Practice) Regulations as well as carefully considering and working to policies and guidelines outlined by clients.
